OUR CURRICULUM
CURRICULUM VISION
The vision of our History Curriculum at Walker Riverside Academy is to enthuse our students with historic curiosity and a thirst for inquiry.
The study of History at WRA will empower students to become more self-aware through understanding their identity which will enable them to become more globally informed by knowing their place in the world.
It is also our aim to teach students the importance of local history so that they are equipped to make connections with their regional past.
It is our mission to implement a bold curriculum that serves the diverse cultural needs of our pupils so that they are able to gain a coherent, but critical knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world.
