Here at Walker Riverside the opinion of our students is of the upmost importance. To reflect this we have our three strands of student leadership:
HEAD STUDENTS AND HOUSE LEADERS
The head students and house leaders are our champions of student voice. These students represent all other students ensuring that changes are made by the students, for the students. In years 7-10 there is one student leader per house. In year 11 we have our two head students and two deputy head students.
HOPE AMBASSADORS
Our HOPE Ambassadors were elected to represent our students, with the intention of Helping Others Purse Equality.
Their remit is to:
"Celebrate diversity and inclusivity at Walker Riverside Academy so ALL students can thrive."
MENTAL HEALTH CHAMPIONS
In each form class there is a trained mental health champion. There role is to support other students mental health and wellbeing. They have previously looked at wellbeing activities and are excited to develop these this school year.
