OUR CURRICULUM

CURRICULUM VISION

Understand local geography and apply it globally.

Enable students to develop strong geographical skills

Develops students’ understanding and awareness of global geographical challenges and how they can be part of the problem and the solution.

To provide fieldwork opportunities that provide virtual and local settings for students to investigate and apply their knowledge and skills.

The curriculum provides a balanced study of both human and physical geography and the complex interrelationships between the two worlds. It encourages students to think synoptically and make links between different geographical concepts and areas.

The content studied is sequenced in a way to enable students to continue to build their geographical knowledge across the key stages; revisiting common geographical themes and applying them to new contexts.
