Walker Riverside Football Academy is a unique opportunity to combine education and football for boys and girls of all ability levels. A carefully developed long term programme linking education, football and sports science.
The programme is led by a team of highly skilled and experienced coaches, teachers and staff with a long-term commitment to support the individuals combined academic and football development the way through to their Year 11 studies. Our Football Academy is incredibly well supported within our wider Academy Trust and benefits from the knowledge and experiences of the well-established and incredibly successful Monkwearmouth Football Academy.

FOOTBALL ACADEMY TRIALS
A series of trials are scheduled throughout our academic year for students in Years 5 and 6. Our trial dates are always published on our Walker Riverside Football Academy social media and on our Walker Riverside Academy school website.
If you wish to secure your child a place on any of the relevant trial dates, please contact our Head Coach, Mr. Rhys Evans, via social media accounts, email at rhys.evans@wra.tynecoast.academy, or directly at the Academy at 0191 295 8660.
Any student who is successful in securing a place with the Football Academy MUST apply to join Walker Riverside Academy by completing the Newcastle City Council's Admissions online form. More details on how to complete your admission to Walker Riverside Academy can be found on our ADMISSIONS page.
